- ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆Worth the Wait! I hired Top Tax Defenders after receiving notice from the IRS that I owed over $8000 for my 2013 tax return. Apparently the IRS considered my home-based business a hobby, rather than an actual business, and disallowed all my deductions. After 20+ months, the IRS dismissed my case, and I did not owe anything. To recap, Top Tax Defenders was successful in getting my audit completely dismissed, and I did not owe anything - no taxes, and no penalties! I would say that the fee I paid to Top Tax Defenders for their services (about a quarter of what I supposedly owed to the IRS), was worth it, and was money well spent!By Karen Terry, October 02, 2017
