  I never thought I would be reviewing a funeral home, but I am also a firm believer in giving credit where credit is due. I have been to many memorial services before but have never been touched and taken aback by what I experienced at Geo. Lewis. One often thinks of a funeral as you been to one you have been to them all, but such was not the case in my experience. My dear friend passed away and her request to her husband was that she wanted to be cremated and have a celebration in her memory. From the minute I walked into the place I was taken to a level of elegance and service that I have never experienced at any funeral home. Everyone was extremely courteous and professional. When I saw the celebration in memory of Nancy that they provided it was truly moving. It wasn't your typical memorial there was a lot of stories from many friends, laughing, some tears, lots of beautiful music and true to her nature everyone did a toast in the middle of the memorial with some Dom Perignon in her honor. We all then gathered for a reception and continued celebrating. The place was very elegant and over the top. I told my family if anything happens to me call Geo. Lewis cause I want this type of celebration while yes there is sadness in the loss, I want my life to be remembered that I LIVED.

  Absolutely the most stunning funeral home I have ever been in. Not being from Houston originally, I was recommended to this funeral home by our minister after the passing of my beloved wife and I could not have asked for anything more. Upon my initial contact with the funeral home everything was handled to the utmost of care and respect. Everyone at Lewis was very polished from the doorman greeting us to everyone we came in contact with. My family that came in from out of town for the services were amazed by the every detail the funeral home took care for us even as far as making hotel arrangements for them. Thank you Geo.
