    I went to this branch to open a business banking account. I had all the paperwork I needed. When I was about to apply with Stephanie, she went to get her branch manager, Jose Leal. At this point nothing has been done yet. He gave me an odd look and asked me a few questions. Why did I choose Compass? I said cause they had many local branches and one close to home. He asked what type of business I do. I told him I'm in home remodeling. He then pointed to my DBA cetified document and asked when did I get this certified. I told him today. He then told me that would be the reason I would not be able to open a business account...I was a bit confused of how this all went down. Stephanie knew all this and was happy to start an account with me. So I went outside to call the 800 number for Compass and spoke to a Business Rep. They said there is no 30 Day waiting period............ I NEVER use this card but the ONLY reason I can see Jose lied and refused to allow me to open an account is cause I am a TransWoman. I walked 2 miles there and 2 miles home. This is a horrible branch. UPDATE: I was contacted by corporate office today. They asked me to explain what happened. I did and they apologized for his behavior. I was asked what would I like to see happen to rectify the situation. I could have said "Fire Jose." I didn't. The damage is already done. I can turn this negative into a worse negative or I can advocate for real change. I can't tell Jose what to think in his mind. It's his mind to do with as he pleases. But he will be going through training and this incident will be on his record. Best thing I can do is accept he will learn from this and leave his opinions at home when he goes to work. If he continues his flawed business practices after he has been given this chance...well that's on him. Good luck Jose.

    These were some of the most non concern people I have ever seen. Horrible customer service. I went there to open an account for my son, a new customer. I went there today, Wednesday morning about 10am and the place was totally empty. I now know why.
